In October of 1957, when St. Elia Church was incorporated, a small group of members got together to enhance the church service with their song.

The small group grew in size and in 1957, choirmaster Sergei Eremenko was hired and St. Elia Choir was born. For the next 38 years the choir grew in membership and proficiency.

With the passing of our director in 1997, a search was initiated for a new conductor. Mrs. Oksana Ostashevsky became our new choirmaster in 1999.
